EVITA Project
Operational Programme for Smart Growth
INESPASA is aware that the drilling process for hybrid joints suffers from significant limitations originating from the means available today. These means, whether tooling, machines, or tools, directly impact the process. This is why the EVITA project (Versatile Applied Drilling Station) is proposed, which aims to eliminate the difficulties of the process, emphasizing the means used to carry it out.
Therefore, the fundamental objective of the project is to improve the drilling process by enhancing the means used for it, through the development of special tools, precision industrial-grade machinery accessible for in-situ use, and embeddable in a robotic head for special and/or automatable applications, driven by a program or remotely from a control station.
The specific objectives of the project will be the development of a drilling machine unit, an integrating head to mount it on a robot, and a set of special tools.
All these elements together will constitute the final objective of the project, which is the development of a versatile CNC drilling station.
