ECOCOM Project
ECOCOM. AERONAUTICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

ECOCOM is a project that aims to develop sustainable and competitive manufacturing processes for the production of aeronautical parts. It has set the ambitious goal of reducing the carbon footprint associated with the machining process of aeronautical parts by 45% and increasing their productivity by 45%. To achieve this, the project will research different technologies that will improve process setup, control, and subsequent analysis, enabling a reduction in ecological impact and maximizing quality and productivity. The project will be validated through two demonstrators (an Aluminum and a Titanium part) in an eco-competitive aeronautical production plant, and the environmental, economic, and quality KPIs for the defined demonstrators will be measured and evaluated. The ECOCOM project was created to place special emphasis on researching technologies that advance the estimation, reduction, and final measurement of the carbon footprint of manufactured parts.
Project subsidized by the CDTI with the support of the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
