DIANNA Project
FEDER Interconnect Programme
The DIANNA project (Development and Research of New technologies for the Automation of Aeronautical Assembly Processes) arises from a deep analysis of the weaknesses in the aeronautical assembly process. The low competitiveness of a process characterized by a high number of manual operations, low flexibility, or lack of precision, makes it necessary to invest in the development of new technologies capable of solving current problems. Within this framework, the DIANNA project is born with the objective of making the necessary technological leap to achieve the "Smart Assembly Factory".
The great international potential of the technology makes this proposal a strategic project for the socio-economic development of Andalusia. This project improves the productive capabilities of the community, favors the active participation of the Andalusian auxiliary industry, especially SMEs; strengthens the capabilities of the Andalusian Science-Technology-Enterprise system, promotes stable public-private collaboration, generates qualified employment, and consolidates knowledge in Andalusia thanks to the generation of patents.
This project brings together INESPASA with three other specialized companies in the aeronautical sector: INASOR, Applus, and mc2. Furthermore, it counts on the collaboration of research organizations such as CATEC, AICIA, FAICO, AIDO, and the University of Cadiz.
